Telephony & PBX
Asterisk and SIP/PJSIP systems, call routing and audio, and zero-touch provisioning of desk phones by the hundred. The voice layer is where we started.
Arcline is a small, independent software studio in Johannesburg. We design, build and run software across platforms — and stay close to the code the whole way.
Arcline is new as a studio, but it isn't starting from zero. It's built on years of work on systems that couldn't afford to go down — telephony platforms, messaging integrations, and the provisioning and infrastructure that businesses quietly depend on.
That heritage decides how we work. We care about the parts that aren't glamorous — error handling, idempotency, the retry that fires at 3am — because those are the parts that decide whether software is actually good once real traffic hits it. And we're a little obsessed with knowing what a system is doing once it's live: monitoring, dashboards and the data that turns “it feels slow” into a number you can act on.
We're deliberately small and deeply technical. Work with Arcline and you're dealing with the person writing the code, not a layer of account managers relaying messages — fewer hand-offs, faster decisions, and software that's genuinely understood by whoever built it. And we work across the whole stack: a mobile app, the API behind it, the integration that wires it to a third party, and the server it all runs on, designed together so the seams don't show.
We'll build broadly, but a few areas are home turf — the kind of work we've done deeply and in production.
Asterisk and SIP/PJSIP systems, call routing and audio, and zero-touch provisioning of desk phones by the hundred. The voice layer is where we started.
The platform end to end — multi-tenant onboarding, message templates, and webhooks that stay reliable at volume across many businesses.
Wiring CRMs, helpdesks and contact-centre tools into the systems around them, with the queues, retries and reconciliation that keep data clean.
LLMs, speech and automation built into real products — practical features that earn their place, chosen per task rather than bolted on for show.
Dashboards, observability and reporting — from API monitoring and uptime to call speech-analytics — turning raw activity into metrics you can actually act on.
Linux servers, VPS and bare-metal, reverse proxies and process management. We deploy what we build and keep it running.
We design for production from day one — monitoring, error handling and the unglamorous details that keep software alive long after launch.
No relay race of hand-offs. Whoever scopes the work is whoever builds it and answers for it when it matters.
We pick stacks to fit the problem — native where it counts, cross-platform where it pays off, boring where boring is safer.
Deployment and hosting aren't someone else's problem. We can take a project all the way into production and keep it there.
Arcline is run by its founder — by design, not by default. You work directly with someone who has spent years shipping and running telephony, messaging and integration systems in production, the kind of work that doesn't forgive shortcuts.
